This week we did the new workshop. Personally i like it better because its hard for me to talk over certain people in my class and this gives me a way to raise my grade and avoid a fight. I think that certain people should tone themselves down because they are beginning to be a little rude to others and they need to watch what they say in class and stay on subject.

After reading a few of my other classmates blogs, I found that everyone has a totally different view on what makes a good writer and yet their are some elements most people believe a writer needs, like being able to capture the readers attention. Also that everyones writing styles vary imensely. Doing the story excersise where one person starts the story and others continue it, shows how different everyone is.

Week 1

I enjoyed doing the class written stories. It was challanging, especially when you have to add on to a story about a girl named blueberry and a ticklish bear. Some of the stories didn't come out very well but the excercise made you write in a way or about a subject that you might not have ever chosen yourself.

What makes a good writer?

What i think makes a good writer is using words to illustrate a picture in your mind or make you feel some something, a connection to the story. If you can't visualize what your reading, then its not a good piece of writing, or it you feel nothing you can totally tune it out, its not good enough. Also the writer needs to enjoy what he/she is writing and not care what others think of it as long as they know its good.
